What happens if you move (not copy) the wiz.bin & properties files (and their backup files) to a different directory? Will it then start?
Wiz.bin stores all the recordings/show/LiveTV Guide data. The properties files contains the configuration info. Try moving the properties files & reconfiguring first. - Andy

The thing I think of is Sage.properties got mess up try del it and Sage.properties.autobackup and start over and be sure to close SageTV before rebooting it cuase somekind wirte error to properties file when you reboot.
