ATI eHome Wonder issues
I've searched the ATI eHome Wonder threads here and tried setting the delay property in the file. I'm running 1.5.6 on Win MCE and am getting the following error
There was a problem utlizing the specific capture configuration Unable to connect analog video cross streams Errcode = 0x80040217 The program launches but I just get a blank screen for video. Any ideas? |

I really don't know what you are asking but I use an E-Home Wonder in one of my machines. It works fine. Did you load the ATI driver for the E-Home card??

Yes. I installed the drivers off the CD it came with. The error message in the previous message is the message I'm getting when I start up SageTV Recorder. The app still runs, but I can't get any video in the preview pane. It also sees the eHome wonder card as a source. Are there any other settings I need to use? I"m going to try to some more troubleshooting with it tonight, I was just checking to see if there are any known issues with the eHome Wonder before I start tearing things up.

Only problem I ever had with My E-Home was a green bar at the top of the screen that was solved with an updated driver.
It sets up for me with no issues. Just wondering if maybe it doesn't like the decoder you are using. Other than that I don't know.. Randy |

I have the problem with the green bar at the top also. What driver update did you use to get rid of it? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Look down the left side of the main menu for MCE. The E-Home driver is hiding about 1/3 of the way down the page. I don't know what is different about it but I don't have the green bar anymore. Randy |

Thanks! I saw them before, but assumed they were the same as the ones on the cd. Since it solved your problem, I'll give it a try.

I tried the drivers but no change.
The specifics were sent to frey support some time ago, but i never received a reply. Specifically, the green bar is not there if I use the tuner on channel 3 or 4 from my receiver, but using s-video, the green bar appears. If I use graphedit to set the card off of ntsc and back, the card initializes and the green bar disappears. This would imply that sage can init the card when using the tuner, but not when using s-video. The card stays clean until the next reboot or forced card reset. I have more problems with sound disappearing right now. If I cancel a recording in progress on the hauppauge 350, the ehome sound disappears. It will also disaapear at random (i suspect when I am away and the 350 finishes a recording while both cards are encoding) I reset a lot! oh well...growing pains. Thanks to all for the help! keith |

Still no luck. I'm getting the same error. I've tried changing the source over to S-video on the card, and that's when I get the crossover video error as described in my initial message. I do know the card is working becuase I'm able to get a TV signal in another application (I'm not running it and SageTV Recorder at the same time).

Good news to report. I got this figured out and I think others might find it useful. I'm running this on MCE, and I had to shutdown all of the eh*.* processes. Once I did this, the video window came up like a champ.
