Can't see menu text

I just upgraded my system to MCE 2005 as well as upgraded to an NVidia 6800GT video card. Now I'm having a very odd problem of not being able to see the text on the menu screens only in Sage. All I can see are white borders of the menus. I tried upgrading to v2.1 and that didn't help. I also, uninstalled and manually deleted the old installation before reinstalling. But that still didn't help. I'm not sure what's going on but this is very frustrating. Any help appreciated...

PS - Everything else works for me. Windows, ZP/NVDVD Decoder/FFDShow, etc.

Had a similar problem with 2.0.20 (2.1 works not reliable for me) when updating my ATI graphic drivers. Went back to the drivers installed before, that fixed the problem. For me it was definitively a graphic driver related issue.

Well it seems that I changed the 3D Acceleration setting to disabled and it started working. I have no idea but it works so I'll leave it.
