USB-UIRT questions

I need to find a code for the enter button on my SA 4200HD - anyone happen to have one?

Also - I thought that Sage would have more than one .IR file by default. Did these change for 2.1 and are no longer included? Only the Motorola shows up for me. I figure that there must be tons of .IR files out there - is there a repository somewhere?

thanks!

Here's my IR file for an SA3250. It also works with all my other SA boxes as well so I'm sure it will work for the 4200.

Scott

-edit I changed the extension to .txt so that it would upload. Change it back to .ir for use in Sage.

-edit2 This ir file includes the Z3 code for zone control w/ the USB-UIRT. If you are not using zone control just delete the Z3 from the beginning of each code definition.

Mods - perhaps we could add .ir to the list of valid attachment extentions?

Have you tried teaching a new "Enter" code to SageTV? See pages 120 - 121 in the v2.1 manual. Also, when going through the Setup Wizard, if your device is not listed, you have the option to "Add New Device": p. 113 of the manual.

Oh, and while I'm commenting... I don't think you need a new file type added for the forum since you can easily zip the file & upload the ".zip" file, which is smaller anyway.

Yeah - unfortunately my real issue is that my SA is a 56K device and as such I cannot get Sage to learn reliably if at all. I am working with the USB-UIRT developer to find a way around the learning issue - so in the meantime I was hoping someone had a canned enter code for me

When I get home tonight I'll try to remember to get the code from my remote.

actually - setting the codes to 4 digits works as well - passing with zeros gets the box to accept the code as soon as its entered and I don't lose much time because the 4200HD handles 0 msec between digits just fine.

thanks for the help guys.
