Is there any way to import recording list from one installation to another ?
My SageTV installation had been rock solid for over a year ... until I upgraded to 2.1. Since the upgrade I am seeing numerous issues - crashes, database corruption, losing IR after waking up Sage etc.
I think the right fix for this is removing the current Sage installation and doing a clean install. I can re-setup the favorites and other properties, but I have a ton of recorded programs which I would like to retain in the recorded programs list if possible. As far as I know, this list is maintained in the Wiz.bin database, so in the new installation, this list will be lost (even though the actual recorded MPEG files will be there). Is there any way to import just the recorded shows list from the old Wiz.bin into the new one after re-installation ? Any other ideas ? |

No, the only option would be to copy your current wiz.bin to the new sagetv directory.

Hmm ... too bad I can't do that since I want to have a perfectly clean install in order to get back the stable Sage installtion I was familiar with, and carrying over the Wiz.bin will prevent that !
Oh well, I will just add the current recordings to "Imported Video Files". Thanks for your reply anyway ! |
