SageMC and categories

This thread is a continuation of a discussion in "SageMC - Alpha Preview 4.6".

I am not sure what you mean by "multiple xmltv imports".
The "XMLTV importer" mentioned is in fact a category translator. I use it to translate categories in Dutch language from my epg into English equivalents.
At the same time I add a sub-category to them, which is necessary for SageMC in order to show them in the search-menu.

I hope this explains it, but am not sure it helps you.

yeah it was gettin a bit OT in the other thread...

I guess ukmgranger is talking about th XMLTV plugin that allows multiple different lineups to be used for different sources (such as analogue tuner having one lineup, and S-Vid to a Sat/cable box for a different lineup).

The XMLTV plugin I referred to in the other thread is a single-lineup-only plugin that automatically translates the categories in the XMLTV to categories recognised by sage (so Film->movie for instance to get color highlighting in the epg)..
