Recording Volume very high

I just started using Sage TV Recorder with my Hauppauge Roslyn card I got off of ebay and I think it will be exactly what I was looking for. I've had some problems but I think I now have everything in good working order.

The problem I'm having now is that the caps I am making off of VCR hooked into card using RCA jacks is set at a very high volume. This results in an incredibly loud output volume when I get it burned to DVD.

Is there a control to lower the recording volume in Sage TV Recorder?

Thanks for your help.

Bill S.

I had this problem when I used to cap things with ATI AIW cards. For some reason it would not adjust the record volume with my Audigy SB sound card.

"MY" solution, although may or may not work for you, is to take to audio output of the VCR and plug into a receiver, then plug the reciever into the Roslyn card. Adjusting the volume on the receiver should adjust the recorded volume level.
