SageTV 2.2.2 changes channel to current channel when Guide changes

Hello,

Has anyone else had the issue of Sage 2.2.2 changing channel to teh current channel once a show has finished ???

eg. current show on channel 1 finishes, sage changes channel to channel 1 for the next show.

This happens all the time whenever a show has finished according to the guide, I'm using xmltv to get the guid einfo into sage as I'm in Australia.

oh and on a seperate note.... how do we log bugs so jeff hears about them ???

Check your properties file for the mmc/always_tune_channel=true setting. (There may also be some mmc/encoders/####/always_tune_channel=true settings; not sure which is the important one.) The v2.1 manual mentions that property at the top of page 178.

See my sig lines. Also, the beta announcement posts include a link to the beta web page for change info, download links, and a link to the Bug Submission Form.

I don't know... maybe to make sure channels changes occur? Maybe it is considered safer to always tune in case the STB channel was changed or in case the last change didn't work -- that way you don't lose all recordings if the first channel change failed.

Maybe it was added way back when people used SageTV more like a VCR. Some people would have only one cable box and use it for TV purposes. If they forgot to change the set top channel then SageTV would before recording.

Just a thought <shrug>
