help deciding on new remote to use
I have seen some remotes at circuit city for around $150 - $200. One of them hooks up to pc to program although I can not tell if it would work on pc as well. I just received my USB-UIRT but have not hooked it up yet. I am still waiting for the emitters to control multiple cable boxes. What can I get that would be the ultimate remote for me to use at around that price.
I usually hate asking "What is Best" so I am more leaning towards "What is working best for you?" PS The more programmable buttons, the better. |

You should check out Remote Central & check out their forums and reviews. The JP1-capable remotes can be programmed on your PC; so can the MX-700 and some others from Home Theater Master (or whatever the company is called); there are the Pronto remotes; and there are Harmony remotes (which you probably saw at CC).
The JP1 remotes are fairly inexpensive & the software is free. There is a forum here. A couple stores I know of are BlueDo and SurfRemoteControl. - Andy
