100% CPU usage depends on secondary display

I'm using the latest beta version of SageTV on an ATI 9700 with dual monitors (running as a service) and I've discovered one possible "cause" of very high CPU usage in SageTV.exe. I can open up task manager and watch the CPU change from 10-20% when watching LiveTV on the primary display change immediately to close to 100% CPU when I drap the window to the secondary display.

Would this be a bug in SageTV, the Radeon video drivers or just a case of "too bad, so sad"?

That would most likely be a case of trying to use DirectX on the secondary monitor -- are you using VMR9 and have 3D Acceleration turned on? Most cards wil handle 3D acceleration only on the primary monitor, thus the fairly common suggestion around here to set the tv-out display to be the primary monitor.
