Manual and partial recordings
First of all, 99% of what I've seen in Sage has blown me away - brilliant!
Just one thing that bothers me: Is it possible for Sage to record only a little bit of a show (manually) and it shows up in the recorded list? MediaPortal, Meedio and GBPVR can do this with the touch of a button so I don't understand why Sage will ONLY display files in the recorded list if its 100% recorded according to the TVGuide. The closest I got it to work was to actually press "Record", then change the stop-time to a few minutes after the current time - a very tedious, and pretty ridiculous way to record short bits of tv... And then when the stop time was reached, the live-tv died as well (as if i pressed the stop-button). The only way to get it back is to actually go to the guide and change the channel there... If I tried to change channel on the full-screen liveTV (which at that point was just black), SageTV did either nothing, or stalled altogether. All I want is the ability to record something quickly and easily without having to fiddle with start/stop times, and then having to change channels to get back to the original state.. Can anybody tell me whether this is planned in future releases of Sage...or possible via an STV? This is actually a big stumbling block for me (and 2 of my friends who are also looking at SageTV). We'd even consider going for a less-powerful app like MediaPortal of GBPVR only because it has that feature. Any help would be appreciated, thanks a million Phasmax |
