Setting up sage recorder

Hi all, i am thinking about adding another tuner card to a client machine of mine. So, I will be needing to purchase a copy of Sagerecorder. I was wondering how i go about setting that up so it interacts with my sagetv server. Is it as simple as running through the setup in sagerecorder---setting which remote and tuner i am using. Is that it? Will I then be able to record 2 shows at once on the server, or watch one on the server and another on the client? I only have one tuner currently and am pretty excited about adding another one. I am just curious because i will be using the sageclient to view TV and wondered if I change channels on the client, which satellite box will change and am just generally curious on the whole process.

thanks, i only have questions on step 5 and 6 now. It says to save the sagerecorder.prop file in a location accessible to sagetv (the server). Then in the next step it says to open the properties file I just copied. Should I just copythe sagerecorder.prop file (on the client machine) and overwrite the one on the server?

--Thanks for the link

I think the jist of steps 5-11 is:

Copy the mmc/encoders section (for the card you want to use) from the sagerecorder.properties file and paste it into the sage.properties file.

that makes much more sense and was what i was thinking of. Also, isn't there a sagerecorder.properties file located in the Sage folder on the server? If so, (i am at work now), what is that seperate properties file there for if I am only going to copy the portions of the mmc/encoders section to the sage.properties file?
thanks
