Sky Digital Problem (Not Sage Issue)

Just thought I would drop a note of an issue I have just had with my Digiboxs. Early this morning one of the units started displaying 'Insert your viewing card' then about an hour later the other one did the same. Quick look online showed a problem a couple of years ago with bad software downloads, so I did the following:

1) Turn of decoder.
2) Remove viewing card and power cable.
3) Replace power cable and turn on decoder and hold the backup button ON the decoder until all four of the Sky digibox LEDs light up.
4) Wait until the only the standby led is illuminated.
5) Remove the power cable.
6) Insert the viewing card, and then the power cable.
7) Turn unit off standby and use the skytv guide to go back to bbc 1.
8) Allow sage to take control again.

As a note, I think my problem occurred due to the telephone cable being left unconnected. I think this as the update failed until I inserted the telephone cable!
