SageTV and "motion blur"

Hello All,

I have configured and used Sage for a week or two and now have an awesome quality picture with the following hardware/software

shuttle sn45
nvidia 5700fx (256 ram)
athlon 3200+ with 512 ddr ram
pvr-250 (latest drivers)

video drivers 71.40
using vmr9
cineplayer codec
dxva and "bob and weave"
740x240(?) resolution (dvd resolution)

Like I said the picture quality is better then my TV, BUT (there is always a but) I get what I call "motion blur" fast scenes seem to be fuzzy out of focus.. strange patterns get goofy such as windows with blinds, car seats, car grills.

from what I can see this is a problem with interlace? I have ffdshow installed, but so far the settings I select seem not to do anything but make the picture seem a little bit worse .

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do to get rid of this?? this is
the only problem I have.. I am anxious to get it working better, I am not going to give up on Sage.. I want to fix it!!

I have no other problems, no tearing, no micro-studders, no sound problems.

anyone..help?

Thanks

Run Registry Editor
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Globespan\Parameters\ivac15\Driver\
Look for FltDnrTempFltLevel change 8 to 4 reboot system
If it helps but not enought then change to 0 to disable it

Thanks

Just to close the thread

SHS suggestion worked perfectly. I do have a quick question for you, is that setting hardware related or software?

as in if I ever change to a different model of pvr card, would that setting still hold true?

Thanks again to everyone that posted a reply

That changes the filtering applied by the PVR card during or before encoding (before I think).
