Sage with firefly

Hi, I already bought the firefly remote. I had not looked into how many other programs were out there for playing your tv on the pc. and recording. So i have been looking into using sage rather then purchasing BTV. The problem is i cannot get my firefly remote to work with sage. I have no clue how to setup the remote at all. Firefly claims it works with sage but sage has no information on using it with their product that i can find. Without any doubt i will go with sage as long as i can get my remote to work. Anyone have some answers on how to do this? Please let me know so i can make my choice and purchase a product already. Thanks for the help

It does work. You need to re-map/map the ir input that the Firefly send to the commands in Sage. Got to setup/advance/commands and then link the commands from your firefly.

Some of the features map, like page up and down. I still cannot get the pause, stop, play, fast forward etc. to work.. they just dont link when you click on them. any other suggestions?

If you're using SageTV 2.1 or later, then these threads should help you:

Basically, you need to update your Firefly's Sage XML profile, so it works with 2.1 or later.

You can also adjust the mapping of the buttons or map additional buttons in that profile.

The reason you cannot use Sage's interface mapping in the Detailed Settings is that Firefly is an RF remote, not an IR one.

I've updated my profile and mapped additional buttons, and it works great. Sage responds much faster to my Firefly than it does to my IR remote.
