"preview box" plays w/ black dot in the center?
anyone else had this problem? when I'm not viewing the program (either live or recorded) in the regular full screen- ie, when I'm in the menus and it's still going- there's this weird black rectangle obscuring some of the picture.

any clues how to fix it?

I get the exact same thing. My setup:

MSI K7N2GM2 nForce2 mobo / sempron 2200+ / winxp / 2xPVR-150MCE / nVidia decoder / overlay mode

I'm using the tv-out on the mobo.

Covered numerious times in the Cayars thread. Do a thread search for "block dot" and you'll find it along with remedies.

Not to nit pick, but search for "black dot" and you'll find all you need. (Probably just a Cayars typo, but just in case.)
