serial control question

I tested my DirecTV D10 box with the DirecTV Serial Control Utility and it worked. In the program it says its on com port 1. When I go to change the channels in Sagetv it doesn't change the boxes channels. I have gone under detailed setup to IR reciever port for IRman/UIRT and clicked on port 1 and it says "commands failed setting IR reciever port." Am I going about this in the right direction?

IRRC IRman/UIRT is for using an IRman or UIRT, not direct serial port control, which would likely be why it can't set IR receiver port, you don't have one.

Thanks for the reply, I just removed my capture card from the setup then re did it now it works, thanks.
