Hauppauge remote stops working

I have the Hauppauge remote setup to use SageTV and a couple other programs and all work great. However, often after using the remote on a program it just stops responding. I have to restart the IR software. Is anybody else having this issue? What can I do?

But, it may not be the same if you can restart ir.exe w/o rebooting. If the remote does _something_, just not the correct something, then it would probably be a different issue.

The remote doesn't do anything until I restart ir software.

I cant get mine to work at all. I tried re-installing the software but didnt get the setup dialog. Everything else seems to be set correctly.

Is the hauppauge ir.exe app runing with its icon in the system tray? If not, make sure the ir software is installed & running.

If ir.exe is running, you need to have SageTV support added to your irremote.ini file. See my sig lines for basic ini files: Hauppauge link 1/post 3 or link 3/post 15.

It could just be a focus problem sometimes after coming out of screensaver by hitting menu it may also be prudent to hit the power button to reinitiate focus, at least thats how it works for me
