streaming question.

My brother in law has downloaded the client trial, but he lives in the US and I live in canada and when he was watching my stream he said it got choppy because of bandwidth. Is there a way I get the stream going smoother? Also how many clients are allow to stream off 1 server? Also how is someone from another ISP(not my house) going to access my stream from there house. I put in my local IP that was configured with my router but I doub't they can change it.

If I understand you correctly you're not only streaming between houses via the Internet but between US & Canada? Sage wasn't designed for serving up to the Internet. Good luck getting enough Internet bandwidth for this type of stream. If you had direct T1 or the like between your homes sure, but then we're not talking Internet provider bandwidths.

More like an OC3, last time I looked a T1 was only 1.5Mbps

Oops, you're right. A T1 would only give max of about 600MB per hour, not near enough for decent quality video feed.

Which means no. You could FTP completed files, but not stream decent video. Stream little box size of videos like you see on websites maybe, not TV output or full screen quality streams. And at that not natively via Sage recordings, they'd need to be quite shrunk down. And of course you'd also be breaking various copyright laws streaming TV you'd recorded.
