Audio problem with Sage recorder

Not really a problem but annoyance.

I captured some VHS tapes in with my Hauppauge 350.

I compared the sounds output from my WinTV2000 recorder and SageTV Recorder.

The audio was much fine and better in WintTV2000 than SageTV recorder. SageTV recorder record the sound a bit too low.

What's up with that??

In WinTV settings, Audio Mixer Inputs is set to WinTV Wave (mixer set about 60%)

I see nothing about SageTV recorder to set audio closer as possible to WinTV.

Anyway to fix??

Jon,

For the PVR250/350 cards with the latest "292" driver, there are two settings in the registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Globespan\Parameters\ivac15\Driver

1. hcwaudioscart1volume (master volume control)
2. hcwaudioscart1prescale (relative to master gain control)

1. takes values up to x7701-the default (the 01 is constant)
2. takes values from x0000 to x2a00

There are also other values that control the volume of the TV tuner audio and the Radio tuner audio if one is present.

Try increasing the first 2 digits, the 01 and 00 (last 2 digits) must stay constant, to see if that makes a difference.

By adjusting each carefully, one can get the increase/decrease volume levels for all input sources.

Hope this helps!

Both parameter you showed me indicate already the maximum value.
7701 and 2a00.
Don't know how it have to be drivers related anyway since my sounds is perfect in WinTV2000. I could just only use WinTV2000 but it doesn't have the hide option like Sage. I just want to gain the hability to hide the recording software when I record my tapes but with the finest audio as well.
