How to change the STV without the setup menu?

I was trying to install another STV and in the process of changing it to the new one, I picked the OriginalV2_Patch2_1_0.stv.

Well now when I load Sage all I get is a black screen so I can't even choose a different STV.

Does anyone know a way for me to reset this to the original STV via a properties file or something or am I going to have to re-install Sage?

Thanks!

In the SageTV directory is a SageTV.properties open this with a text editor and find the line (at the bottom) wizard/widget_db_file=C\:\\Program Files\\Frey Technologies\\SageTV\\STVs\\OriginalV2\\... Change the file to the stv you want and save the file. Start SageTV.

there is a line at the very end of the sage.properties and the sageclient.properties file that should be changed to (insert your own path here if you've changed anything from default):

wizard/widget_db_file=C\:\\Program Files\\Frey Technologies\\SageTV\\STVs\\OriginalV2\\OriginalV2.stv

It's all on one line and I can't get it to show that way in the editor but I think you can get the idea from that.

Thanks for your help!!!!!

The regular sage properties file had the correct info already. But the client properties did not. So I replaced it in the client one as well and it worked like a charm!

I didn't realize I was running the client. I do have the service running...if you run the service does it run the client whenever you start Sage TV?

Thanks again for the help...MUCH appreciated!

There is a client piece on the sage server even if it's running in service mode it's just you don't have to run the client on the server if you don't want to.

If you are in service mode the UI runs in client mode. If you're not in service mode then no client mode.

Thanks for the clarification meekell!

Just to let you know, it was your STV that I was trying to switch to and I did get it working. I'll post my comment over in your thread about it...
