Can you password protect an imported video folder?
Does Sage have the ability to password protect an imported video folder? I would like to be able to sort my video files by rating and place them into different folders (ie. a folder for kids, a folder for teens, a folder for adults)....so my kids can't access the movies in a folder I block them from. Or maybe a way to put restrictions on certain files so they would require a password to play? I haven't noticed anything, when in the imported videos menu, for any type of password or rating...
A folder password would work easier as I have many files stored on a server. I guess I could add the folder each time I want to watch something from it, which is what I'm doing now. It's not that fun and being the lazy person I am, I don't want to hook up a keyboard each time to add it...so I don't end up watching that many files, or I leave it connected and have to really watch the kids when they use it. I'd like to be able to give them the right to use the home theater and not be afraid they'll start a movie they shouldn't.

A few of us keep pinging IRT security. I don't want guest or kids flubbing up my libraries nor whacking the configs up. FWIW, I recall Cayars saying he was going to work on inclusion of that as well.

wow, you took that a step further. I was only interested in "locking" files so those with a lower privelege (kids) can't access them NOR read their filenames.
So if you can take your model and add the ability to apply those settings to complete folders as well, that would suffice me. I don't want those with lesser priveleges being able to even see the filenames. Especially with teenagers, if they see a file like "Faces of Death", they might be enclined to hack sage so they can view it. Out of sight, out of mind. (not that anyone would really choose to see that movie, just an example) This would help with the WAF as well. If she could see a folder named "daddy's movies" and NOT be able to see that I have dirty movies inside, that would be a plus. Since imported videos are administered outside of sage, it is up to the user to put them in folders anyway. A way to "lock" and set the folder as "view restricted" is what I'm after. If anyone tries to enter that folder to see what movies are inside, the "enter password" prompt would pop up.
