I don't believe it is officially supported by SageTV. Although I do remember that a user was working on reverse engineering the IR controller. He had some success, and was looking for people to test it out. I can't find the thread though and I believe you would still need to use Girder anyway.
If you want direct SageTV intergration(no Girder) then currently the only official is the Actisys IR-200L . You can buy it direct from Frey at their online store. PS:I'm just another user, who loves SageTV, so please don't take anything I say as law. Also there is a great USB based combination IR reciever and transmitter here. Currently SageTV only natively supports it for IR recieve(in the most recent beta 1.4.3) not IR transmit. Although I hope Narflex will add native transmit support soon.(Please Jeff  )
