the problem with the 5200 and DVI is that is sounds like you were using VMR9
and the card is simply too under powered for it in how SageTV currently displays VMR9 try it again with overlay and you should be fine as for the svideo problem try reinstalling the video card drivers but I would certainly run overlay at HDTV resolution over VMR9 over Svideo at 480i |

thanks for the reply, the only way i can get the dvi working is to reduce it to 480(but the tv supports all formats 480/720/1080) not sure what it can be and the interference in the svideo is driving me mad
any more ideas??????????? BTW i was using overlay |

before dumping the card
download the 67.66 beta drivers from nvidia.com they are very improved for DVI output to a HDTV and have underscan adjustment for 720p and 1080i built in and disconnect svideo when messing with DVI do not have both connected at the same time and 480p does not have underscan adjustment though |

Sounds a little bit like your TV is not expecting SVideo. See if it has any configurable settings for its inputs, some TVs detect automatically, but my back projection TV needs me to manually set inputs as AV or SVideo. If I use the AV setting with a SVideo output I do get a very strange interference effect.
Nick.
