external music player.

Sage tv now seems to do pretty much everything that i want my htpc to do, it does TV brilliantly, esp now with anders's dvb recorder. it plays dvd's just fine for me, has good remote control support, and now lcd support. The only thing it wont do for me is play my losslessly ripped music collection which is in wma format.
I've seen that someone has created an stv that uses an external dvd player, has anyone created one that uses an external music player. dont really mind what, it seems like sage is the only music player in existance that doesn't support wma. Asio support would be nice, but not essential at the moment. I'd like to be able to browse artists and albums and play them.
Is it too much to ask

thx

Why don't you run jriver's media center on the server as well, and just use it for audio playback? This will require two sound cards, but it gives you a lot of flexibility, and all you have to do is point MC at your media volume and it'll go and index all of that. Great integration with netremote as well.

We still don't have one comprehensive multimedia environemnt that does everything we want in a unified package. Until then, we'll have to live with pieced together components.

Thanks,
Mike
