Winfast TV2000 XP Expert CX23883 chipset supported?
Read somewhere that Sagetv doesn't support software encoder. Is this true?

True. For the most part software encoders are pretty obsolete considering the prices for a good HW encoder right now.

although in theory, if the Universal Network Encoder is ever updated so it can change filter properties (so you can change channels), you could use any TV tuner as long as you can make a filter graph with graphedit.

Guys, thanks for your reply. I am happy to hear that everyone has respondes asap. I'm also sad that after seeing this wonderful solution, I can't use it.
