hdtv with sage via cable and firewire

Just read an article about how sage can use firewire from a cable box to record HDTV from a cable box.

"A new avenue of HDTV capture is just becoming an easy possibility: capture the raw stream via a cable box’s 1394 (Firewire) port. SageTV and MythTV now can support this method of pure digital capture."
