WINTV 350 with MYHD-130
I just bought a MYHD-130 and installed it. It works great, but seems to mess up my Sage/Hauppauge WINTV350. When the MYHD is physically installed Sage locks up after watching about 3-5 seconds of live tv tuned video. Recorded shows from my hard drive media liberary play fine.
If I remove the drives for the MYHD-130, same thing. If I remove the MYHD card physically from the PC, Sage works fine. They both showed as working properly in device manager, one on IRQ 17, one on IRQ 18, with no conflicts. I'm running WInXPPro SP2 and an Intel 865PERLK motherboard. I'm using the Hauppauge decoders for video and audio. My WinTV 350 driver is current from the SHSPVR site December release. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this? I've done some searches and seen a few people sucessfully using MYHD100/120 cards with the WinTV350. The drivers are the same, I don't think there should be any global incompatibility between the two cards. I think there may just be something in my system that needs tweaking. Thanks for any help you can offer. Andy |

Well, I'm using myHD120 and the 350 card with 0 problems. Are you using the 1.65 drivers on the 130?
In other words I'd wonder if you have the latest drivers, and also make sure you're not overclocking. I have read elsewhere that the myHD cards can have major issues with your video card, even if it's not using that card for output. In those cases a new driver fixed it. I wish I could remember the details as to graphic card but I can, however a search of the avs forums might turn it up. As to troubleshooting, start with the latest drivers, kill off running programs not needed and see if it helps. Make sure you have plenty of memory. Try different slots on the cards, and hope. |
