New PVR 150 Remote

I just got a SageTV/PVR150 bundle from PCAlchemy. A bunch of the Hauppauge remote buttons don't work with anything in SageTV, and the remote tool in the settings menu doesnt seem to recognize those buttons ("guide", the left/right/up/down buttons, etc"). I downloaded an update for the remote from Hauppauge but it didnt fix the problem. The Hauppauge remote that arrived is different from the schematic on the Hauppauge site, indicating that it's a newer model.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you fix it?

Thanks,

Irrelevant info: My system is a Celeron D 320 with 512K ram, 120G Seagate Barricuda, Win XP, NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500OC 256Mb with ridiculously large aftermarket heatsink, and PVR 150 dedicated to a standard CRT TV.

Wolf,
When I switched from the old Hauppauge remote to the newer "extended" remote, one of the members here was kind enough to post the attached ini file which supports the extra buttons on the new remote. Copy the new ini to your Windows folder (or WinNT or wherever you installed Windows). You can change the mapping of the buttons, if needed, by going into setup, commands, "link Infrared/Keystroke to SageTV Command". Remember to press any new key TWICE for a given command, as the second keypress yields a different code.
BTW, Welcome to SageTV, I watch your shows at noon and 5 every day! Keep up the great work.

That's only if you are using something like a USB-UIRT instead of the receiver/software that comes with the Hauppauge remote. The Hauppauge stuff automatically handles the code toggle.

For the new remote, ini files with instructions and a picture of the button layout can be found in post #3 of Hauppauge link 1 and post #15 of link 3 in my sig lines.
