Need help with setup (MCE remote and IR Blaster)
Ok, I have been using MCE 2005 for about 6 months now, and just can't get it to run solidly. I have decided to give Sage a shot. I have the MCE (microsoft branded) remote and built in IR blasters. Can these be configred to work with Sage? I didn't see that option listed in the blaster option on setup. I really don't want to re-invest in more controllers or IR blasters if I don't have to. Thanks for any help in advance!

As far as I know, the MCE blaster is not used by SageTV.
The MCE remote is supported for most buttons. SageTV simply responds to the Windows events the remote initiates. From the info on this MS site for MCE remotes, SageTV responds to just about everything but the buttons that use WM_INPUT messages. - Andy

No one has been able to program the IR blasters in the MCE remote. You won't find anything from Girder, uICE, CQC etc
