Sage freezes when trying to connect to the EPG

I am using Sage Ver 2.2.5RC, after entering the 00000 sip code the sage freezes up.
I left it for about 30 minutes but nothing happened and it remained frozen on the zip code window.
The zap2itdata.log is empty.

Any suggestions will be more then welcome.

you should go over the install instructions again and double check you've done everything correctly.

Did you setup your account on Zap2it? Did you edit the xml and enter your username and password correctly? Have you editted the sage properties file to include the line for this plugin?

Everything was done as shown in Digicasa web site, when I first installed Sage v2.1 Zap2it was working. After that I installed the new beta release from Sage and a couple of STV's, curently testing Cayar's.
The data in zap2itconfig.xml is correct and so is sage properties

Just to add more info.
I have left the Sage with the Zipcode window open for a couple of hours and
now it says that I am not connected to the internet - which is not true ...

The message about not connected 'Cannot reach sagetv server' is for EPG plugins is just a generic message meaning that the EPG plugin failed...

Have you upgraded your version of Java? If so check that the jar files required for the plugin are in the lib\ext directory for the version of Java that you are using.

I tried to reinstall everything but got the same resault.
The current Java installed is j2re1.4.2_06. Under C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_06\lib\ext I have the following files:
dnsns.jar
ldapsec.jar
localedata.jar
sunjce_provider.jar
withay-http.jar
withay-util.jar
xerces.jar

In the SageTV the zap2itdata.log and zap2itdata.xml files are empty and the zap2it directory has 6 class files. (The zap2itconfig.xml has the correct login and password)

I took a look at the sagetv_0.txt file and it shows that it is looking
at - addr=/127.0.0.1,port=1354,localport=42024.
I am not sure if this is OK but in any case my firewall and router are currently dissabled and I have attached the sage log file.

Talking

Just to close my thread – the problem turned to be the Antivirus that somehow blocked the epg. I am not sure why as connecting to Zap2it’s web site worked ok and the same was when connecting to SageTV’s server
to download the epg.
