Way to Force the program guide download?

Is there any way to force Sage TV V 2.1 to go to the internet and download the latest program guide. I have a channel thet was not enabled which I just enabled. However since there is no program guide for it already, I can't watch it until, I guess, Sage downloads the guide when it wants to.

I just want to download the guide now so I can watch/record the channel.

You just forced an EPG update. The 'trick' to forcing an EPG update is to toggle a channel in Channel Setup a couple times & then selecting Done (p. 43 in the v2.2 manaul), so by enabling a new channel, that did the job.

Edit: but, it might take a while to see the data for that channel show up.

Toggle didn't work for me

I am trying to get guide data back. As I recall from the first time I tested this program, there was a file you could delete that would force it to come back??

What does Setup -> System Information say about the Last EPG Update & Next EPG Update? Does the PC have internet access & is SageTV allowed through your firewall to get the EPG update? Where are you located -- are you using the US data or xmltv from somewhere else? Have you tried exiting SageTV and restarting it?

[UPDATE] I went to Sage Properties and changed one of the digits (fifth from the right) in "last update" to the next lower digit (6 to a 5). Restarted Sage and it updated. I have no idea why this worked, but it did....

My system information says last EPG update was on March 8th. It also says minutes to next update = 0. If I go to the guide, I see "No Data" after 4pm tomorrow.

I have restarted Sage and the CPU and attempted to toggle channels in Channel Setup several times. The computer can access the Internet. I haven't upgraded in ages, so something had to get corrupted since it was running perfectly until March 8th???

Any other ideas?

Also, it might be far-fetched, but I wonder if the provider for your area changed somehow. You could try reconfiguring the lineup by going to Setup -> Setup Wizard -> select your source -> select the EPG Linuep on the right-hand side & reconfigure it.
