If the programmer still visits this thread, I would love to see the programming tweaked so that this plugin reliably works with an extender/MVP. Thanks!

2 - MVP's - latest SageMC and no CID - infopop. Cant not get it to work. Back in version 5 of sage it worked great. Some where in 6.1.x & > it stopped. At least for me it did. I've recently performed a complete new install of 6.3.5 and still no go - fixed some other issues though.

Hello all, link to wiki doesn't work in first post: http://www.sage-community.org/index....oduleInfoPopup

Just one question. would a USB modem work: http://us.creative.com/products/prod...duct=266&nav=4
?

Does this need to be connect at the server or a client will work?

I should have given some more information.

On the MVP it will load but the ui goes back to the regular sage skin and not the SageMC one. when you go back to the sageMC skin the STVi is lost. and more XML files are created but not used. Also - When the InfoPopUp does work if the MVP is repowered that STVi is lost. And the process starts all over again. Not really sure if it is an InfoPopUp issue or a SageMC issue or something I am doing wrong? If anyone has this working on an MVP could you please share the secret.

Thanks,
SkyBolt

And your loading SageMC and importing the plugin on the MVP?

I am having the same problem. I first load the stvi into the default STV and configure. Then, I load SageMC and import the stvi. The plugin works until the MVP or HD Extender is powered off and back on.

For SageMC you need to change the .stvi extension to .xml and then import it into SageMC on your MVP or your HD Extender. You import on SageMC on the Setup page in SageMC-not the Detailed setup page that looks like the default STV. Go to Setup in SageMC and look at the first button. Use Import STVI and make sure it has the .xml extension on it or you won't see it.

Just decided to order the usb creative to give it a try.

Does the modem need to be on the server or client? So, if server MVP can see but if client MVP will not see?

That looks like the one I had before. And I had it attached to the server where you would also run YAC.

Gerry, I'm not sure if you were replying to my way of loading the plugin or not. I load the .xml the exact way that you are describing.

Ok. Got it to work on the server side. I'm loooking at the wiki: http://tools.assembla.com/sageplugin...oduleInfoPopup

I understand the macaddress and port config for the placeshifter and mvp but how do I make it work on the computer sage client side? Do I use the IP address of the client or macaddress/port or the 127.0.0.1?

Help!

If you're talking about a client running on the server either should work because they end up being the same machine. But I believe when I set mine up awhile back I user all IP addresses. I have 2 x MVP, 3 x PC clients at the time.

Install Infopop

Hi Folks,

Tried to install infopop to display caller id information on my sagetv.
therefore i found a documentation here

now i have a problem to find the corresponding file for editing them:

Code:
shutdown SAGE and edit each MVPs .properties file (in the clients directory) to specify a different port... Sage.properties:nielm/infopopup/bind_port=10629
clients\000f20fb4fdc.properties:nielm/infopopup/bind_port=10630
clients\0013d2d737c9.properties:nielm/infopopup/bind_port=10631
can anybody give me a hint where to find those files?

sage.properties files in your sage directory. I'm still trying to figure out what port or what to change on the computer client to make it work. Is there a modified YAC port listener?

Don't see a link... I know there is a custom patched version of YAC. But you say there is also a modified YAC listener?

May be offtopic for this thread?

I was wondering if anyone has this setup for use with a cellphone?

we don't have a lan line in our house, my wife and I both have a cellphone and that's it, this would be a neat feature if we were able to incorporate it some way. My cell has a divert calls feature on it, and I thought maybe if i forwarded it to some kind of voip web service thing, this could eventually be setup to work? Does anyone have a setup like this?

I guess the real bottom line question is does anyone have this working with a cellphone number, or is it even possible?
