Slightly OT... sorry
Nielm or any of you other brilliant guys want to take a look at a thread about using this functionality for weather alerts
here

If it's not something you want to tackle, maybe you could point us in the right direction... is this something that would be pretty straight forward to do? There is already a Java library to get the information from the CAP xml.

Can you recommend a similar project that we might see the source code for?

Thanks again for any help.

Run as a service

I've tried everything i can to try to make Yac run as a service, short of recompiling. Does anyone know a way to run yac as a service? I've got everything running on the sage server, which i never need a gui to so why not leave the box "logged off" to save those resources

I cant find a link anywhere to download InstallYacService.zip, do you still have the zip? The site talks about downloading the file everywhere but provides no link?

Slightly OT here, but can someone recommend a cheap caller-ID capable PCI modem to use with YAC and this plugin ?

Thanks,

Dirk

I went external with Creative Modem Blaster v.92 USB DE5671. Easier to move around to a different PC and I'm not stealing a PCI slot. Definitely works with YAC and the Caller ID plugin. Make sure you update the drivers that come on the CD. It won't work right without the updated drivers. Make sure to reboot too.

I think just about everything after '99 has cid. I'm using an USR modem. I've seen them for $11 at mwave.com. They have a Trendnet for $7.50 i'm pretty sure will work but cant promise, you can google the part number + callerid and see what u get.

*edit
wait i think i'm wrong.

Thanks Gerry, but since I would only use it for YAC I was thinking of one in the $10 range ... I thought about ebay, but they usually dont list the capabilities ...

WIKI offline

Does anyone have a link or copy of the patch that allows you to specify listening ports for the MVP. The sage community page seems to have been down for a couple days.

Can this be used as an import into SageMC?

Just rename the STV to XML, and import?
