Nobody has any ideas, thoughts? I'm losing WAF points for this and I really don't want to go back to the standard Sage STV.

Thanks,
Greg

This is probably a sound driver or audio decoder issue. To rule out SageMC delete the sound files it uses and it will work like the normal STV.

I have to hit "stop" and then select "resume" to get it to go away.

Has anyone else noticed this?
Yes, I have seen that and I also find that sometimes changing the volume causes the bar at the top to stay up. Only way out is to go to the main menu and start all over. I have also found that when you go to the configuration wizard and are done the return to setup menu selection won't take you out. Have to hit the back button. Works fine with the standard Sage STV.

Thanks, I'll give that a try tonight.

That fixed it! Thanks mlbdude, the WAF is back to maximum again.

Drive space bar... It's the only thing I'm missing immensely from the mlbdude/maldude stv. Is there a way to get it (or even just free drive space info) in this stv?

Ok, don't kill me for asking this. I've been using this STV since towards the beginning, and I love it! But now, it's time for me to move into comskip....but how? I see things about comskip, SA, dirmon, etc. Just what do I need to install/setup to get going?

Again, I'm sorry to ask this. I have searched around to get an idea of what to do, but I don't want to experiment with the main TV in the house

Thanks much!

IMO, the best way to go, is Dirmon and ShowAnalyzer, check out their respective threads for details. But basically you install them, and then have DM run SA. Then if I'm not mistaken, this STV will look at the output files that SA creates and skip (or allow skipping of) commercials.

DirMon can be a little confusing to setup, if you aren't used to it. There are a couple of settings in there that are not default, and aren't intuitive (at least, not to me).

Take a look over at the www.dragonglobal.org forums, under DirMon, and you'll find a thread over there that has screenshots of how to set it up (you'll see some postings by myself, so you can search on my user name).

Have fun. It works beautifully.

I got ShowAnalyzer, and it's working great. Thanks for the tip on the dragonglobal forums. I found the DirMon settings there, and so I'm set with this part too. I see the marked segments showing up in Sage now, so I think everything is coming together! The missing piece I'm looking for now in the forums (and this is going to sound stupid), I don't know how to skip exactly over the marked segments. I'm guessing there is a command to bind to my remote.

This has been quite easy and quick to setup. Thanks for the help all!

Ah, found it a few pages ago. Had to enable com. auto-skip in the options dialog during playback. Cool! It's working great!

Numeric text input in search menu

Hi,
Will it be possible to change the current search screen (by title, description, etc.) to include Numeric Text Input?
Its the only way I can search in Hebrew using only a remote control with no keyboard - the on screen keyboard is English...

Thanks,
Oren.

I actually hate the numeric search since it forces you to look at your remote when doing a search. Hate it in MCE too. However, you actually gave a valid reason for including it. I will add it to the list, just not sure when I will get to it.

Well,
You can actualy use the Numeric Text Search with out looking on your remote - just use the virtual keys of a remote on the screen...just like using the regular virtual on screen keyboard.
What I need is just the 10 numeric pad key added to the on screen virtual keyboard. That would be great!

Can I add the search by title screen (of the original STV) to the MyMenu? is it there?

Thanks!
Oren.

One thing I was wondering, is if the weather function in SageMC is going to change to match the new features of SageTV, or will it be left alone.

If it is, I might be able to keep myself from haivng to use Weather Suite, as I think the new weather features might be enough for me...

Once the 3.x STV is stable I will be brining in more of its features. The Weather is one, however, it needs quite a bit of visual rework to make the SageMC cut so it may take some time.

the most stupid thing with the alphanumeric search is that numbers come last. when setting up weather in the new v3 stv it was driving me nuts that i had to scroll before reaching the appropriate number for the zip code.

not sure why sage can't just detect the epg zip code and use that as a default for weather and let you revise it if necessary?

I noticed how that sucked too. I like the EPG code idea. I may try that as a default.
