Prolems with PVR-250 MPEG edit Progam
I don't know why but after using the MPEG edit program that came with the PVR-250 SageTV get's all screwed up. The only way to fix it was to reload SageTV. This has happend twice now to me so I will not use it any more. Also the MPEG editor did not work the way it should. After making the cuts the generated movie seemed to tag all the edits together with the all the adds still in place. Anyone else tried this program as it would have been nice if it had worked as you could cut the adds without regenerating the whole video.

This is a long hated program for PVR250/350 owners. Just check out the numerous posts at SHS's PVR forum. The general concensus among most PVR owners is that Womble's MPEG2VCR is the best nondescructive editor. There used to be a MPEG1 and a MPEG2/1 version, but from looking at their site it looks like they have dropped the MPEG1 only editor. They have a free evalution for MPER2VCR. Don't be fooled by it's looks it is a great editor. Also for a general list of Mpeg editors and other great PVR tips check out SHS's base site.
