UI Offset Settings

I am running my PC output at 720x480 through a radeon card with Component Dongle. Picture is great but has major overscan. I noticed there was a setting in the SageTV configuration file for UI offset and Zoom. Anyone have any idea how they work, my first attempt ended up with UI compressed (Top Right corner) in the same size window

These settings will shrink/offset the User Interface relative to the window. Try something like .9 for the width/height and 20 for the x/yoffset and see how it goes.

Almost embarrassed to ask, but I keep hearing about "overscan". What is that?

Televisions generally do not display the entire image that they receive. The parts of the image outside of the viewing area of the TV are called overscan. On the other hand, computer monitors always display the entire image that they receive. When you display a computer image onto a TV, the edges of the desktop extend beyond the actual TV picture.
