Anybody able to play Nero AVC IN Sage?

I was just wondering if anybody has been able to playback Nero AVC mp4 files IN Sage without the need of an external program?
I know this has been explained before but I can't find it:
What is needed for a codec to be able to work in Sage? Is there another codec that is NOT native to Sage that anybody has gotten to work in Sage without external Video player?

I've been trying, but the problem is that if it's not an MP3 file (and maybe even a WAV file), Sage does not report it to the STV as a music file. It shows up as a video file and will play if the M4A extension (or whatever extension the files are in, like AAC or MP4) if it is specified as a Library file.

The STV programming interface allows you to play it back within Sage as long as you have a DirectShow codec installed, like 3ivx.com 's package.

We're talking video files here, Nero MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) files to be exact.

What you need is a demux and audio/video decoders. Sorry, can't help more than that though.

I have had no sucess playing back Nero AVC in Sage but I use Zoom Player and that works fine. Sorry I can't be more help. Incidentally, WMP won't playback video for AVC but I can hear the sound.

From memory of the previous discussion... The reason why nero avc's do not play in Sage is because the directshow filter for decoding AVC's requires a on-disk file as the source...

Sage's client/server architecture only provides a video data stream and does not allow access to the file, which the filter will not work with... It is the same reason why WMA and WMV's will not play...
