help:upgrade failure 2.0-2.2
I tried to upgrade from 2.0 to 2.2, and intentionally made a restore point. After trying, Sage is recording in a terribly lowres version, and my restore point is gone. How do I make this work or get back to 2.0?

For going back to 2.0: Did you make a backup copy of your v2.0 installation, or at least its data/configuration files? If so, you can to uninstalling the current version & reinstall the old one, then restore the data files.
For v2.2... I've never had an upgrade problem like that, so these are just a few generic comments: What encoder card are you using? Have you tried updating its drivers, installing the latest verion of java, and/or uninstalling SageTV & reinstalling it? Before doing a completely new install, however, you might try making a backup copy of the properties files and the autobackup versions, then removing those files and reconfiguring. - Andy

Alas, I didn't remember to make a spare copy of sage.properties and wiz.bin. I thought windows restore would do this for me.
I have the old installer, but it seems to have the same problem. I am running a hauppauge 88x (came with a windows MCE PC, don't ask)? When I run either version, the computer seems to slow down a little, and the shows are recorded in something like 100x100 pixels. Previously recorded shows play fine. Craig |

The 88x seems to be a "Roslyn" card. Unless someone else around here knows how to get those cards working, I would contact tech support & see what they have to say about it. If you search the forum for 'roslyn', you will find that it isn't a popular card.
