Does anyone have a customization that will allow for downloading, storing, and viewing IPTV from within the sage interface? - roco

I think the technology is still a little too young, as I haven't seen much about it, and most providers are still scrambling to fill their bandwidth with content.

I'm sure that as it matures, someone will write a plugin for it - if not support it natively.

Check this news out. I have been watching this company for a while (EAG) and they are one of the leaders in this area. It might be sooner than most people think.

sooner indeed. a plug in would simply let people specify a IPTV url, how many times and when it should download the broadcast, and how many broadcasts to keep. i am sure there are some things I have not thought of but as the sage interface is so flexible, this seems like low hanging fruit and it wouldn't hurt to be first in this race given the attention PVR's and software are getting today. IMHO roco

additionally, this plug in could be used to downlaod and manage audio podcasts! with sage a clear leader in the industry, lets continue to push the home media player envelope.
