Closed Captions to dvd how???
Hi, i've been trying for days to get the captions to dvd and nothing, i can see the captions on live tv, but when i record to dvd there is no captions anywhere, i'm using sagetv 2.2.8 with cayaras, i did the reg change in regedit,but nothing works, same thing happens with wintv, i can see the captions on live tv but when i record (using nero 6.6 for recording) there is no captions, anyone can help me to fix this? thanks in advance and i think this is a great site, i'll keep reading anyways, thanks again.

If you are seeing the captions when you watch TV with Sage, then they are being properly recorded.
The way captions exists on DVD's and within Sage are the exact same. Therefore, Nero is at fault. It is probably rewriting the stream and removing all the user data packets. I'm not familiar with Nero so I don't know how to fix it. But therein is your problem. I hope that helps. Jere

I would advise a different DVD burning package. I won't advise a specific package because I never burn DVD's.
