Cayars donation blues

Like many of you I donated to Cayars to help develop his STV (and what a great one it is!).

Also like many of you, I am lazy (sign of a great sysadmin!). That's what made Cayars great. He took all the best from the other STV developers and bundled it into a single "ultimate STV". Maybe he should have stuck with that philosophy.

He began developing stuff on his own, which are now surpassed by others (e.g. gbBurn and Jere's dirmon). I was shocked to learn that my donation did not get me full access to all utilities in his STV. For instance, I can only burn 2 shows to a DVD because it is still in TRIAL mode. I would have to pay (if Cayars was still around) another $25 to get the key to unlock the full potential of DVDBurn.

Maybe I'm stingy, but I don't think Cayars could market his development for $50+ ($25 for STV, $25 for DVDBurn). Although DVDBurn is cool, I don't think it is worth $25 for development.

Since I doubt we will see another beta (what I paid the first $25 for), it would be really nice to apply that monies to getting the most out of DVDBurn. Crashless, you probably can't help here, can you?

Anyway done with rant (Its all been said ad nauseum in the Cayars thread anyway) and I'll continue being blue
