Channel Lineup Title for Adelphia Changed - Lost Programming
I never use Sage to watch live TV and unfortuantly I just went to record a new show I heard about and when I went to look for it it wasn't there. It appears at sometime my previously selected Channel Lineup either was removed or renamed, causing Sage to stop getting any new TV data. When I went back in to Channel Setup I was able to select a newly titled line up and everything was fine.
My problem is that, I got so used to Sage just working, I really wasn't watch it and now that this happened I have no idea how many shows didn't get recorded. Shouldn't there be some way that Sage notifies a user if the EPG is not getting any data? That seems like a serious situation that we should be alerted about. If not built in, any way to build a work around to check for this? Even my 5 year old Replay TV alerted me when its guide changed or wasn't getting updated. Thanks! |

I had the same thing happen. Tribune Media Services (at my prodding) consolidated the sets of listings in our area. We had two cities listed, both with normal and rebuild, and had analog and digital listings for each. All of the cities in my area have the same channels, at least that is what Cox tells me.
The only indication I had was that the conflict icon showed up on the screen (does not normally happen for me with my six tuners). But I agree that it would be nice to have some sort of "problem with lineups" popup or screen to let you know there is an issue (like your listings don't exist any more). |
