Question No EPG for one channel, how to make small recordings?

Hi all,

I'm using the composite input of my Hauppauge 350 card for an extra channel. (I have connected a Digital TV decoder box to it).

But I have no guide for it. No problem to me, only when I want to record something.
For example, I want to record a show from 20:05-20:55.

What I do is sellect a "No data" block from 20:00-22:00 (all "no data"blocks are 2 hours long) and increase the start and decrease the stop time. Also no real problem for me, but it takes some time since I can only increase/decrease it 1 minute.

So my question: is it possible to make the "no data" blocks smaller, for example 30 minutes long?

(I looked into the properties file, but couldn't find anything....)

There should be 2 arrow buttons on each side of the start/stop time adjustment dialog -- for 1 & 15 minute increments.

You should also be able to use Timed Recordings and then set the start & stop times you want. (But the hours & minutes are both changed by 1 there...)

Thanks for your reply!

You're right, I know that it is possible with the "default" SageTV.. but I'm using the SageMC STV and it does not have the Timed Recordings function.
Sorry I forgot to mention it

(By the way: I asked mldude about it and he said no one ever asked for that option, so why implement for only me. He's right ;-).

However going back to the "default" SageTV is no option for me, because it doesn't have the extensive way of playing MP3 (genres, etc.). This is a feature of SageMC I really enjoy.

I hoped that the "2 hours" was some kind of setting I could change somewhere...
