I have a Hauppauge 1042 Win TV150 PVR-MCE Tuner Card. I connected a playstation to the composite, and ran it on SageTV. There was about a 4 or 5 second delay from button presses and seeing the action on the monitor. Wanted to know if it was the card or the software and if there was any way to enhance the speed. Thanks.

I don't think there is, the delay is because it is encoding and saving the data to the harddrive before playing it back to you on the monitor. I think its in the card, but all hardware encoded cards will do it I think.

There is a 'live preview' mode on these cards, but SageTV does not support it. There is a 500MS delay even in that mode though, not sure if 500ms would make games a problem. You could use the software that comes with the capture card to try it.

You might want to try Dscaler for gaming.
