Playback error with headless setup
Hi all - I've scoured the forums and googled on everything i could think of looking for an answer to my problem without any luck.
I setup SageTV with a Hauppauge PVR350 running on Win XP Pro SP2 without any glitches (until now). After everything was setup properly and working fine, I decided to remove the keyboard, mouse, and monitor, and move the box closer to the tv (I really don't need all of those things attached to the box since I can control the PC using the Remote Desktop Connection feature in XP from my laptop if I need to make any changes.) The problem is that with the monitor, keyboard and mouse removed, I get this playback error in Sage: There was a Playback Error in playback. Details: sage.PlaybackException: ERROR (-4,0x80040217): There was a problem rendering the video portion of the content for playback. Ok, so I tried just reattaching the monitor - still got the same error. So I tried adding the keyboard - still got the same error. The only way I've found to make the error go away is to reconnect all three devices. I know there must be a simple solution to this - but I can't figure it out - so hopefully one of you can help Here's my setup: Pentium Celeron 2.5ghz Onboard video (Intel 82845G updated driver) 768 meg RAM 2 60 gb hard drives Hauppauge PVR350 (1.18.21.22301) SageTV 2.2 DirectX 9.0 Norton Ghost Norton AV (not running) |
