Arrow main list items

Is there any way to make the main list items only one line each instead of having the extended title appear on a second line. It's a little easier for me to manage if the titles are on one line each. If I want more info, I can always click it.

No, but my version 2 STV file is still available from my website. It contains most of the same features.

I'd have to pretty much agree with you. I hate not having the episode numbers when looking at the additional airings, especially when a mixture of seasons are be broadcast. I had started working on doing a "show history", but I hadn't gotten very far when I saw that something similar to what I was planning was being added the the default STV, so I never finished. You have Opus4 to thank for integrating the Archive with the main SageTV Recording. I never liked the seperate menu for archived shows so I never archived anything.

The viewing history displays any shows still in SageTV's database older than 2 days, and usually SageTV doesn't retain any guide data older than that. I would love for there to be a better way, but I haven't found it yet. This is one advantage to doing the history for a specific show, since it doesn't matter much if a couple extra entries that weren't ever recorded are displayed.

Can you give me a screenshot or a text example of the problem? Because, I'm not clear exactly what you're refering to.

Extended Title (too much info for large list)

Hey thanks for looking Malore. Nice to see you again. I love your STV! Below is attached what I was speaking of.

Now that I think of it though, I am only using the "malore's xtras" stuff in the main 3.0.7. That may be the problem. I seem to remember a way to make the view a "malore style" in an old STV. The problem with that approach is that the "malore style" (as I remember it) doesn't inlclude the nifty little first run icons that I can't live without.

If there were a way to turn that list you see in the graphic into a one line view, all would be well.

In the screen where you can type in movie channels to use for the movie listings I see a problem. The text doesn't scroll if you add a lot of channels so you can't see what you are doing. Is there a text/xml or other file where you can manually put them in?

Look for movie_channels in the properties file & change it while SageTV is not running.

Since your request deals with the standard SageTV Recordings view there is probably a SageTV request thread you can add it to. Unfortunately, it takes a bit of work to integrate my changes into the default STV, so I try to keep my changes as centralized as possible.

As you mentioned it is possible to use my menu style for the SageTV Recordings by changing the Detailed Setup -> Customize -> SageTV Recordings Style. While the 1st run icon isn't on the show list, it is now shown in the top episode description area.

One of the newest features I added was the ability to switch between sets of grouping, filtering, & sorting options using the custom4 command. I use this to quickly and easily hide all the watched shows when I'm picking what I want to watch. You could do the same thing for First Runs, then with the touch of a button you would have a list of only shows that were first runs.

Updated September 23:
· Rebuilt using the V3.11 default STV file.
· Redesigned the autoskip function for the media player, so it is no longer a seperate process and shouldn't have the problem where it would stop running.
· Tweaked how the focus is set when the previously focused item is removed from the show list.
· Adjusted the main menu so the sleep button is still shown.

Install the latest V3 beta and see the first post for the download link.

I may have already screwed myself on this one, but... thought I would ask for direction... My intent was to free up disk space by converting my tv series to divx.

I took them off of my server edited commercials and converted, renamed for series show number so an alphabetical listing would list in original air dates, put in imported videos folder, works except of course no epg info.

I am now reading about xml, import etc... but not sure how it works. I tried with cayars to "test" converting to divx, and moving test file and xml file to imported directories but it didnt work.

Is there a way to get epg to stay with the file once you convert to another form with malories? How?

Also, since I tool my old shows off before, can I get the 2 year history to bring up the old files and get this to work?

Any help is appreciated.

Well I finally got 3.0.11 loaded and working correctly and have some questions.

I loaded the comskip .stvi and that works great for letting the CS files run correctly.

I loaded the delete partial function but can't seem to find where that menu item would have been put.

I turned on the "extras" and their great but I'm confused, they seem to be mostly malores custom STV stuff. How does the actual STV file differ from the "extras".

Is there somewhere to show an icon for files that have CS run on them?

Is there a way to show what is currently being recorded. I'm not using any of the custom display formats for the recordings menu since I like the default one but I don't see any indication of what is currently recording.

Mike

I don't see where you are actually using my STV, so I'm not sure why you posted your question here. See the Unofficial Secret Extra V3 UI Features for details on what the "extras" are. Check the threads for the imports you used for details on them.

Your not using it but my 3-pane style SageTV Recordings displays [CA] (short for Commercial Advance) at the end of the show title in the top description if a comskip style .txt file is present for a show and displays a dot before the group name for the show currently being recorded. The default SageTV Recordings is just that.

My appologies, I was totally confused on how/what/where the new stv's/extras were coming from and linking together.

I went on and installed your STV and it's great.

One item has me baffled though. I'm using the default for the recording menu and when I select a file it just displays a preview. Same thing when I hit play. If I hit select or play again it goes to full screen for the video.

I played with the smart select and get the same behavior.

If anyone is interested and didn't see it already, I released an Updated STV with a new trial feature. I modified the Imported Video Files menu to see if the file name matches the show and episode names of a recording in SageTV's history; if it does then it will show the guide data for it in the Video Detail screen.

I have a problem with your stv

I like your stv but have a very bad problem. If I have the sage service running my entire interface in sage turns a dark color and fades in and out over a period of minutes instead of imediately. This is the problem happened to me with sage 3.0.7 but went away in 3.0.11, I can only set it right by stopping the service and sage then changing back to the original v3 stv included with sage 3.0.11. I can then change back to your v3.0.11 and it works fine until I start the service I think.

Any help would be great because your stv is the best I have found for sage 3.
