What other software apps on your HTPC?

Hi all - I'm mapping out my HTPC and am trying to put a list together of "required" software for a fully functional HTPC. Sage is obviously the the top of my list, but I'm wondering what else you all are using for:

- DVD playback (both app and audio/video decoders)
- MP3 playback
- Resolution tools - Powerstrip
- etc., etc., etc.

Just trying to get a sense of what a fully-functional HTPC looks like, software-wise...

Thanks!

Jason

SageTV does both DVD playback and MP3 playback. So I'd reccomend it for those of what you have listed.

I don't do DVD via my HTPC but I use myHTPC for video and mp3 playback. I would use Sage for both of those items, but I like the way myHTPC allows me to organize my files by folders. Plus it looks a lot better. I use Girder to assist with controlling both applications.

I use eJukebox for playing my music files:

www.audiosoft.net

What makes it unique is that it charts your listening habits & provides Top song, album, & artist charts. It utilizes Winamp as its host, so any Winamp plugins you currently have can be used with eJukebox.

I use MuzicMan for MP3 and I love it - try the trial
I use it on a 15 inch touchscreen LCD monitor that is built in the wall and it runs marine aquarium clock version as a screen saver - belive me, it's the center talk of all visitiors
