Kworld USB Support
I've got a Kworld V-stream USB 2.0 and I am wondering if SageTV should work with it.
I can see video on the smaller screens like when it searches for channels, but when I try to actually watch TV, it either A) Locks up and I have to use the task manager to close it, or B) Displays a blank screen with audio. I really like this program, so please help me make it work. |

Did a Googe and found KWorld V-Stream Xpert TV-PVR USB 2.0 Video Capture was $24 inc shipping after rebate at Newegg last month. Hmmm, guess you get what you pay for. Did you check the system requirements and supported tuners on Sage site? It ain't there. Definitely only a software encoder, may or may not work with SageTV v3beta, definitely won't work with SageTV current release v2.8.

I think some software encoders are working but my ATI Rage Theatre on a 9600XT VIVO and my ATI AIW 7500 don't work---same results as you--just hardlocks but I do get video when setting up the source. This is with v3 mind you

mmittim: check the beta forum. Not sure if you have access to it though if you haven't purchased sage.

Beta worked like a charm, other than a slight pause when changing channels. Thanks everyone!
