Is 3.09 going to be a big update? ;-)

Hey guys,

I was jsut wondering if 3.09 will be a big update with new features and such since it has been a while since 3.07 was released.

Are there any rumors regarding this? Opus? ;-)

Hehe, anyways, I can't wait to get my hands on the next release.

I have a feeling this update is going to be a pretty significant update in respect to HDTV support.

What worries me, is that I was told that I would get the chance to test a pre-release build to confirm that some serious issues related to the Fusion 5 Lite support were fixed (IE machine blue screening with 2 Fusion 5 Lite cards). I still haven't heard back from them.

My guess is either the developers aren't close to releasing the next public beta or they decided that pre-release testing isn't at all necessary.

Yeah that's what i though it was. Even though i think that it's great that they are working on the HDTV support I would have wished for some integrated features such as web-access.

I won't have HDTV for a long time, so it's hard to excite me about those features. lol

Well.... I'm still hoping for some other cool additions as well.

Nielm has a nice webserver plugin, if you haven't checked it out yet.

I second nielm's webserver plugin. I can't imagine an integrated version being much better. And best of all, no need to install Apache or IIS just for HTPC / Sage PVR.

Seems I recall BTV using IIS which I considered a negative (I installed and took a look at BTV for about the 15 minutes way long ago. Wasn't my cup of tea.)

Thanks nielm.

There's already a property that looks to control an integrated webserver, webserver_port=0, so maybe we'll get to see something in 3.0.9. I curious how it will compare to nielms.

There's something to be said for having a great feature built in to sageTV and not have to use 2nd/3rd party plug-in's

And I'm a big user of 2nd/3rd party plug-in's.
ie: But getting Canadian SC TV line-up is just easier with V3.0 then using a plugin.

Edit to add:Once again Thank you LESTER for your plugin that many of us was happy to use for 10 plus months
